Services
We all feel distressed at times. The time to call for help is when life gets to be more than you can handle and is stopping your growth. Intentions and desires go awry, and despite our best efforts, resolution eludes us. Therapy is two people working together to solve problems. You bring your part: pain, anxiety, depression, suffering, fear, conflicts, hopes, and desires. I bring my part, 30+ years of personal and professional growth and experience. The goal is to help you reconnect with your original desires to live a meaningful and productive life and do so in ways that best fit your life today.
I offer couples and individual therapy for a variety of concerns, including:
Insurance and privacy
I have a private practice. I do not accept or do any insurance billing. This keeps your work with me private. I do not keep electronic records, only handwritten notes. |
What to expect from a typical sessionI start sessions with this question: “What did you take from last session, what has happened since, and how do we best focus today?” and end with this: “How was today and what will you take with you?” This keeps us focused in our work and reflects the reality that it is between sessions where real change occurs, and the purpose of therapy is to help you make the changes in your life that you seek to make. Sessions are generally 45 minutes. That allows me to make my note on one session, clear my head and center myself, read the notes and prepare for the next session so I can be ready to start each session clean and clear. |
